Thirty years on from the introduction of legislation on sex discrimination and equal pay, gender remains a live issue for both women and men.

Gender Matters is a video and e-learning resource with accompanying trainer’s notes and user book. It includes topics such as stereotyping, flexible working and transgender issues. It has been developed with diversity expert Melanie Allison of Embankment Associates and includes  contributions from ACAS.

Gender Matters enables employees of all levels to recognise the processes and behaviours that are consistent with inclusion and quality. Part One enables viewers to gain an awareness of key gender issues, and an understanding of the subtle factors that can hamper gender balance at work. It features both expert analysis and a number of personal experiences.

Part Two includes realistic drama scenarios exploring key aspects of gender issues at work, and explains the role of line management in creating an inclusive working environment.
